These receipts document the timeline and the monthly payments made to Waqas Riaz via his Payoneer account in Pakistan. Combined with the $2,000 paid prior to October 2024, the total reaches $83,000 USD. I covered all transaction fees myself, ensuring he received every dollar in full.
Regular payments were made directly to Houzez Wordpress theme cofounder and developer Waqas Riaz. Initially, I thought FaveThemes was contracting the project through ThemeForest. Later on, though, I was asked to send money straight to Riaz in Pakistan. As a result, all project funds were transferred to him monthly through Payoneer.
At the time, I was 64 years old and had no reason to distrust Waqas Riaz. I am based in Canada, where currency conversion significantly affects project costs. After accounting for the exchange rate between the U.S., and Canadian dollars—approximately 32% during the payment period—the total amount paid to Riaz was approximately CAD $110,000.
